Summertime holidays - What's in my suitcase (for a festival)

Hey girlies, I hope you've all had a brilliant day.

As promised I am here with my suitcase post.

Wellies as essential, I basically live in mine. Not shown in any of the pictures is flip-flops for showering.

A roll mat and a sleeping bag are obvious things but sometimes you forget

A waterproof jacket is essential, especially here in the UK, where it rains all the time

A torch because you need to be able to see where you're going late at night

Mini shampoo, conditioner and body wash, for showering, but lets face it you won't get to shower everyday, so baby wipes and dry shampoo are great for cleaning up. Face wipes are a better way of washing your face too, because you won't really be able to wash properly whilst there.

When packing I suggest putting your hard or heavier items on the bottom, that way when you try to close your case it is easier to squish everything down.
This isn't everything but just what I thought was essential.
Obviously you need things like clothes, I've packed jeans, shorts and leggings, with t-shirts and vest tops, just for some variety. I think fuzzy socks are great too as they will keep your feet warm at night. Speaking of which, you will want thick pyjamas, I am taking my tiger onsie as it is super cosy.
Towels and plastic plates and cutlery are also important; you need something to eat off of LOL

Well, I think that's all. I will be writing some posts in the next couple of days and scheduling them for when I am away so I (hopefully) don't miss a day.

Talk to you all later

Summertime holidays - what to have in your carry-on

Hey girlies, I know that this was supposed to be posted yesterday, but for whatever reason I never got around to it. However, to make up for it, I will be doing this and my final Summertime holidays post today.

When I travel, I only ever really have 1 carry-on and that is my normal handbag. Therefore my carry-on is full of what I regularly carry around with me. However, some things I carry I think are also perfect for travelling with, which is what I will be sharing with you all today.

The first thing I think you should have is snacks! I carry a few extra snacks with me when I am travelling because you save money. Service stations tend to be super expensive so I like to make sure I have enough snacks for my journey.

The next thing I think you need is a book/magazine. I love reading, and journeys are perfect for sinking into a good book, and I love that.

Another thing I like to have with me is my Nintendo DS. I am a little bit of a gamer, so I like having games with me, just in case I feel like playing a game rather than reading.

One last thing I have to have with me is music. As well as sinking into a good book, I like to zone out with some music. I normally listen to music if I'm playing a game rather than reading. I don't really like to listen to music when I'm reading because I tend to feel like I'm not taking in the book I'm reading.

I hope this post was helpful for you guys. Check back later as I pack.

Until then....

Summertime holidays - Travel hairstyle ideas

Hey girlies, I hope you're all well. I'm sorry I didn't post anything yesterday, I was out all day and didn't get home until quarter to midnight, so I genuinely didn't get a chance to write anything. However I have learnt that I should write my posts and schedule them to be posted, which I will be doing for when I am away.

Anyways, here is my travel hairstyles.

When I am travelling I like to keep my hair away from my face, so here are some of my favourites.

What I love about all of these styles is that they are super quick to do, look cute, and keep your hair off of your face.
What I like to do is style these styles with wet hair; that way, when I get there, I can take it out, and have these beautiful waves, ready for your first night there.

I hope you all enjoyed this post. Tomorrows travel series post, will be what I carry with me, so be sure to check back for that.

Talk to you all later beautiful girls

Sumertime holidays - travel outfit ideas

Hey girls, I hope you're all well.

As promised here is my travel outfit ideas for you all; I put it all on one Polyvore, just to make it easier to publish.

I like to keep things casual for travelling, because you could be sitting down for a long time, so you want to be comfortable!

Sweat pants, are super comfortable, but if you don't want to look super sporty, then go for leggings. They are stylish and comfortable, by letting your legs breath and move freely, unlike jeans.
I normally wear a plain top underneath a hoodie or an oversized jumper. This is not only comfortable, but can keep you warm too.
For shoes, I like to wear something that I can slip off, as I like to take them off in the car/coach/train, and curl up to read or stare out of the window. When I've taken my shoes off, I like to put on some fuzzy socks, just for extra comfort.
I normally just use whatever handbag I'm using at the time, but I like the one in this collage, it has a strap for over the shoulder, and looks like it can hold everything you need for your trip.

Things that made me smile today

Hey girls, I hope you've all had a beautiful day, whether you had sun or rain.

I'm writing this at 4:05pm because I'm off to a pub quiz tonight, but I've scheduled it to be posted at 11:00pm, so I was wondering, could you let me know what time this was posted?
Any who, here is what made me smile today

This makes me think of summer, and it is exactly what I need right now, because I am a little bit too obsessed with autumn and winter.

Summertime holidays - Travel make-up ideas

Hey girls, I'm starting a new series today for all of those who are going away this summer. I know I should've started this sooner, but I .... umm ..... forgot. Anyway, I'm going away in 8 days, so I thought I would do this now.

Today's post is all about make-up. Now I don't actually wear make-up much any more, so personally I won't be wearing any when I travel, but I know there is many people who don't like leaving the house without make-up, which I think is sad, but that's for another post, so I thought it would be a good idea to share with you all how I would wear my make-up if I was planning on wearing any.

I suggest keeping everything really simple, because it will be easier to take off when you arrive, particularly if you're going to be arriving late at night.
For your base I suggest maybe using a tinted moisturiser or even a BB cream. These will even out your skin tone, yet still be light enough for your skin to breathe.

For eyes, you could just wear some mascara to open your eyes, or if you want to wear some eye-shadow, I would really suggest keeping it really simple, with only a couple of colours. I really like this one, but without the eye-liner

For lips, I think a gloss is good, as it's quick to put on, but a lip stain is great too as it stays on all day, which is what you want. You don't want to be reapplying constantly throughout the day, you'd rather just relax.

I think the main thing to remember for make-up when travelling is ease of removal when you arrive. Also something that can be applied quickly, because I don't know about you, but I always feel like I'm rushing when it comes to the day I leave. I never seem to have everything done ha-ha.

That's all for today, check back tomorrow for hairstyle ideas.

Until then.... Dream beautiful dreams; live beautiful lives

Things that made me smile today

Anyway, here is what made me smile today.

Grocery haul turned into, the food I eat

Hey girls, I hope you're all well. It's a bit cold and windy out today, but at least we can see some blue in the sky :-)

Yesterday I went food shopping, and I thought I would do a haul, because I thought it would be cool. Plus you know I'm on a health kick right now, and thought that if any of you guys are too, then this might help you. However, I just started taking pictures of all the food in my house, that I eat, that I didn't buy yesterday. Most of it is healthy though and I do hope that it helps any of you, if you need some ideas on what healthy foods to buy :-)

What the inside of my fridge looks like

Cathedral city is my favourite cheese

I only ever use Stork, it's so light

Kinda loving blueberries at the moment

Cherry tomatoes are so yummy

Lemons for my morning cup of lemon water

The inside of my cupboard (I try and keep this to myself but it never seems to work)

These are yummy. You can have them on their own or with cheese. I'm going to have some tonight with my pasta

Everybody needs a treat now and again. (I have no idea why we have so much Hot chocolate)

My favourite tea brand

I bought this a while ago, but have never got around to trying it, though I am excited to

More treats

These are surprisingly yummy. I was a bit hesitant to try Bran flakes but now, I actually like them

Quick breakfasts, or yummy snacks

Sweet potatoes are so good!

Quorn and Tesco's meat free mince. I prefer the Tesco version but both are pretty good

Best. Burgers. Ever!

These are so good. They can be mixed with anything!

I personally prefer Tesco's meat free sausages, but Quorn are just as good

The inside of our 'everything else' cupboard, I was not going to show you each item from there

I hope you enjoyed this post, and don't forget to leave your comments. Let me know what healthy food you like to eat and I might pick it up next week :-)
